Next week alone, banks will be shut for four consecutive days between August 25 and August 28 due to festivals and state-level events.

Regular Weekly Holidays in August 2025
Apart from state-specific holidays, banks across India also remain closed on all Sundays, as well as the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. For August 2025, these dates include:
- August 9 (Second Saturday)
- August 23 (Fourth Saturday)
- August 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31 (Sundays)
This means customers should plan their visits accordingly and avoid waiting until the last moment to complete important banking tasks.
What Customers Should Know
Although bank branches will remain closed during these holidays, digital banking services will continue without any interruption. Customers can easily use net banking, mobile banking, UPI payments, and ATMs to manage their financial transactions.
Final Note
Since bank holidays differ from state to state depending on regional festivals, it is always a good idea to check the RBI holiday calendar before scheduling any urgent banking work. If you have any important tasks like cash deposits, cheque clearance, or account updates, make sure to complete them beforehand to avoid inconvenience.
