Kia Carens Clavis Electric MPV: Kia has launched its first made-in-India electric MPV, the Kia Carens Clavis EV, offering a perfect blend of space, performance, and advanced features. With a starting price of ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this electric MPV is set to attract Indian families looking for a spacious and practical electric vehicle. The top-end variant goes up to ₹24.49 lakh, and deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Dual Battery Options with Long Range

The Carens Clavis EV is available in two battery pack options. The base variant comes with a 42kWh battery, offering a certified range of 404 km on a full charge. The top variant features a larger 51.4kWh battery that delivers a driving range of 490 km, making it one of the most efficient electric MPVs in the segment. This extended range is a major highlight for long-distance travelers and urban families alike.

Four Trims and Six Color Choices

Kia is offering the Carens Clavis EV in four trims: HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER. To appeal to a wide range of customers, the MPV is available in six attractive colors including Ivory Silver Matte, Aurora Black Pearl, Pewter Olive, Glacier White Pearl, Imperial Blue, and Gravity Grey. These trendy shades give the vehicle a premium and stylish road presence.

Powerful Performance for a 7-Seater

Despite being a large 7-seater MPV, the Carens Clavis EV impresses with its performance. Kia claims that the EV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.4 seconds, which is quite fast for a vehicle in this category. This means the Clavis is not only about space and comfort but also about delivering strong and confident driving performance.

Modern Design and Premium Features

The Carens Clavis EV sports a refreshed front grille design, LED light bar, and aerodynamic alloy wheels, giving it a bold and futuristic look. Inside the cabin, it comes packed with dual 12.3-inch screens, ventilated seats, wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, and a premium Bose audio system. These features make every ride comfortable, connected, and enjoyable for both the driver and passengers.

Tough Competition, Strong Potential

In the Indian EV market, the Kia Carens Clavis EV will face competition from models like the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV, and MG ZS EV. However, with its best-in-class range, 7-seater layout, and high-end features, the Carens Clavis EV stands out as a strong contender. It is specifically designed keeping Indian road conditions and family needs in mind.
